Manchester United 2-0 Bolton Wanderers

Sir Alex Ferguson: "It's a lead, that's important. It's not a significant lead, but it's a lead nonetheless. I think Chelsea hold the key, they have ourselves and Arsenal at home, and their home record is very good, so that to my mind is going to make it a really tight finish."

Gary Megson: "The second goal was genius and I don't know how he [Ronaldo] does that, and most of our players are talking about it. It was a fantastic strike.

"To be fair to the players then we had probably more chances to score in this game than we have had for quite a few games and that is at Old Trafford, when 2-0 down, so we did okay.

"The pleasing thing is we did okay, but the most important thing is we realise why we have done okay and take that forward into the next eight games because we didn't look like a bottom three team...I think there is cause for optimism even at this late stage of the season."

Tottenham Hotspur 4-4 Chelsea

Juande Ramos: (reacting to Ashley Cole's first-half challenge on Alan Hutton) "In this case the referee decided it was a yellow card but we've seen tackles that were much less serious given red cards.

"It's best not to dwell on that kind of action. We're just very fortunate there weren't any injuries to players."

Avram Grant: "It was a good game for the supporters but not for us because we wanted to win and we haven't done it. But we are still in the title race and we will continue fighting.

"We led 3-1 and then lost two goals from corners, and even when we went one up we lost an equaliser from a free-kick.

"It's very disappointing. One of our strengths is we defend well against corners and free-kicks but in the last two games Spurs scored five goals from set-pieces.

"I don't know how to explain this."
