Genoa 1-1 Inter

Marco Borriello's 85th minute strike earned Genoa a deserved 1-1 draw against Serie A pacesetters Internazionale, who had midfielder Pele sent off in the first half.

Inter went ahead on 11 minutes, and that man Zlatan Ibrahimovic was the architect. The Swede collected a pass and drove down the left, before teeing up David Suazo for the simplest of finishes.

It seemed all too easy for the league leaders. Roberto Mancini's men looked assured in possession, and Cambiasso was marshalling midfield expertly.

With Ibrahimovic and Suazo linking dangerously upfront one began to wonder just how many they would win by.

Genoa refused to lie down, however, and in Ivan Juric had a player of their own capable of influencing proceedings.

It was Juric who tempted Pele into a clumsy challenge five minutes before the break - earning the midfielder his second yellow card in six minutes and reducing Inter to ten men.

The Serie A frontrunners never recovered. As the game progressed Genoa came closer and closer to the equaliser their dominance deserved, forcing Julio Cesar into a string of saves.

Finally, with five minutes remaining, the breakthrough arrived, and unsurprisingly Juric was the instigator. It was his powerful shot that Cesar could but parry into the path of Borriello - who acrobatically and emphatically earned Genoa a share of the spoils.

Lazio 3-2 Roma

Roma missed a glorious chance to close the gap in the Serie A title race, after an injury-time winner from Valon Behrami settled a pulsating Derby Delle Capitatale.

The game took flight after 23 minutes, when Behrami's clearance struck Roma's Rodrigo Taddei and flew past Marco Ballotta to give second-placed Roma the lead.

Lazio levelled shortly before half-time, when Goran Pandev reacted first to Doni's palmed clearance and fired home.

Ten minutes after the break Lazio went ahead from the penalty spot. Rolando Bianchi was tugged to the floor, and Tommaso Rocchi slotted from 12 yards - with Doni desperately close to a vital save.

Lazio's lead lasted barely five minutes before Roma drove forward and Francesco Totti's deft flick invited Simone Perrota to drive home the equaliser.

Unbelievably, there was still time for a coup de grace. With two minutes of injury time on the clock, Behrami ghosted in from the Lazio right and won the game in dramatic fashion.

Roma now lie seven points adrift of Inter, with nine matches remaining.
