On-loan Fulham goalkeeper David Stockdale returns to the reckoning for League One leaders Leicester's home game against Colchester.

The former Rotherham stopper missed the victory at Millwall after injuring his shoulder in the defeat at Tranmere but resumed training on Tuesday and will compete with fellow loanee Tony Warner for the number one jersey.

Warner, on loan from Hull, made his full debut at The Den last week and is likely to retain his place and make his home debut after keeping a clean sheet against the Lions.

Steve Howard, the match-winner against Millwall, begins a two-match suspension after collecting his 10th yellow card of the season in that game.

Boss Nigel Pearson must decide between Barry Hayles and Paul Dickov to partner top scorer Matty Fryatt in attack. However, Pearson could also opt for a 4-5-1 formation with Fryatt as the lone striker.

Partick Kisnorbo made his comeback from a four-month absence with a knee injury as a late substitute at Millwall and the defender could again make the bench.

Neal Trotman will be added to the Colchester squad for the clash.

Trotman has joined the Us on a month's loan from Preston and will probably be on the bench but fellow new-boy Ashley Vincent, on a three-month deal from Cheltenham, has a knee injury and will not begin training until next week.

Checks will be made on striker Steven Gillespie, who suffered an ankle injury in training last Friday, and wideman Simon Hackney after he limped out of Saturday's defeat to Crewe with a groin problem.

Centre-half Paul Reid is out for rest of the season with a knee injury.
