Bournemouth manager Kevin Bond praised his players for keeping alive their hopes of avoiding relegation with an excellent 3-1 win over Walsall.Danny Hollands gave the Cherries the lead before Kevin Betsy equalised for the Saddlers. Jo Kuffour's 13th goal of the season and Brett Pitman's penalty sealed victory for Bond's side.
It was the Cherries' fifth successive victory in their remarkable attempt to stay up after having 10 points deducted, and they killed off Walsall's faint hopes of making the play-offs.
Bond said: "It was a terrific win and I thought a terrific performance as well. I am really pleased to be going to the next games still in there.
"It was comfortable in the end, mainly due to the fact that our two centre-halves (Josh Gowling and Jason Pearce) were fantastic."
