Bordeaux close in on leaders Lyon

Sun 20 Apr, 11:45 PM

Bordeaux are now four points off leaders Lyon after a 93rd-minute goal from Johan Micoud gave them a 1-0 win in the Garonne derby at Toulouse.Micoud rounded off a swift attack with virtually the last kick of the game to move the second-placed visitors to within touching distance of the Ligue 1 leaders.

At the other end of the table, Toulouse remain three points clear of the bottom three.

Lille put a huge dent in Marseille's Champions League aspirations by posting a fine 3-1 away win at the Stade Velodrome.

The match appeared to be going to plan for OM when Mamadou Niang fired the hosts into the lead after 12 minutes.

But a quick-fire brace from Kevin Mirallas just before half-time put Lille into a surprise lead at the interval and Jean Makoun made sure of the three points with the third after an hour.

The result sees Eric Gerets' men miss the chance to leapfrog Nancy into third place after their fellow Champions League hopefuls were held to a 1-1 draw by Le Mans on Saturday.
