Sun 20 Apr, 04:00 PM

Nottingham Forest manager Colin Calderwood has his sights set on securing automatic promotion following his side's 1-0 victory over Luton. With Carlisle and Doncaster dropping vital points, Forest have moved nearer to the second automatic promotion place and Calderwood has urged his players to take advantage of any more slip ups from their rivals.

"There are going to be nervous times for a lot of teams up and down the country in the next few weeks and we have to do our job and be ready if there are any more opportunities," said Calderwood.

"We've got to go out and try and take maximum points from the last two games and see where it gets us. We've got to make the teams above us win their matches to go up ahead of us."

Nathan Tyson's 12th goal of an injury-hit season saw off Luton, Calderwood added: "We achieved the win and although no one will go home waxing lyrical about what they have seen, it has been a professional display.

"It was a fight and a battle against Luton and we were poor in the first half. But we did better after half-time and I was delighted with the experience we showed at times to get through the game."
