Gannon: Hatters will keep belief

Sun 20 Apr, 04:15 PM

Stockport manager Jim Gannon is remaining upbeat after his side slumped to their first defeat in 11 games as MK Dons claimed a 3-2 win.Dons skipper Keith Andrews sealed a thrilling win for his side as they confirmed their elevation in front of a bumper crowd at Edgeley Park.

But County remain hot on the heels of third-placed Hereford as the race for automatic promotion continues apace.

Gannon said: "A couple of mistakes cost us, but I've told the lads not to be too disappointed and hard on themselves.

"We scored two great goals, we've got some real quality at this club.

"At least we've not lost anything as Hereford lost too. We'll keep believing and we'll reflect on what has happened on Monday. I'm still proud of the lads, not just after this game, but after the whole season we've had."
