Marcus Bean is relishing the prospect of first-team football after signing for Brentford on Monday after struggling at Blackpool.The 23-year-old was released by Blackpool earlier this month after failing to establish himself in a two-year stint with the Seasiders and the midfielder admits he is champing at the bit to help Andy Scott's side push for promotion from League Two next season.

"I'm really pleased to be here at Brentford," Bean told the club's official website.

"It has been a bit of a difficult time for me over the last couple of years, so I'm really looking forward to getting my head down and playing some football.

"I'm looking forward to challenging for promotion and enjoying my football again."
