Stockport matchwinner Liam Dickinson has revealed it would be a "dream come true" to score at Wembley in the League Two play-off final. The striker's 20th goal of the season secured the Hatters a 2-1 aggregate victory against Wycombe in the semi-final to set up a Greater Manchester derby with Rochdale in the final.
Dickinson joined County from Unibond First Division side Woodley Sports in December 2005 and since then has scored 33 goals, but he admits he cannot quite believe what he has achieved in just under three years.
"I came from Woodley two-and-a-half years ago so to go to Wembley is a dream come true.
"I played for Blackburn Rovers and Bolton when I was younger, I came out of it and thought 'that's the end of it now, I've got to get a job'. I managed to get another chance and I'm making the most of it.
"I want to play as high as possible, but I'm just concentrating on every game as it comes and trying to better myself, so to score at Wembley would just be a dream come true."
