Leyton Orient skipper Stephen Purches feels his side can learn from their disappointing finish and create a promotion push next term.The Os were among the front-runners throughout the early part of the season but fell away dramatically after the turn of the year and eventually finished down in 14th.

"We would have taken mid-table at the start of the season, but when we had such a good start it got us thinking it could be our year," said Purches.

"But, for whatever reason, it wasn't to be, and it was disappointing that we didn't kick on.

"We'll learn from the mistakes we made this season and we'll come back stronger next year."
