Wright hopeful over new campaign

Tue 20 May, 06:30 PM

Defender David Wright is confident Ipswich can use the disappointment of losing out on a play-off place to their advantage next season.Jim Magilton's side fell just a point shy of a place in the top six despite beating Hull on the last day of the season and Wright is adamant the Tractor Boys will come out all guns blazing when the 2008/9 season gets under way.

"The disappointment has eased a little," he told the club's official website.

"We have played alot of games this season and, personally, it felt like it was all for nothing. It feels like we have unfinished business.

"But I think its its a massive improvement from when I first came here and hopefully when we get back for pre-season there will be another step up in class. We are a lot wiser and stronger so hopefully we can learn from that and take it into next season."
