FIM marks Dorna's 250th grand prix as promoter of the FIM Road Racing World Championship.

During last weekend's French Grand Prix, FIM president Vito Ippolito presented Carmelo Ezpeleta with a plaque celebrating Dorna's 250th grand prix as promoter of the FIM Road Racing World Championship.

The 250th grand prix took place at the previous round in China.

"We are very happy to present Mr Ezpeleta with this commemorative plaque as a mark of our thanks for all the hard work Dorna has achieved all these years," said Ippolito. "This championship has improved a lot during this time and we have no doubt that this development will continue in the years to come."

The agreement between the FIM and Dorna was signed in 1992. The Spanish company has been the promoter/organiser and TV and marketing rights holder ever since.

"It is a great pleasure for all of us at Dorna to have our work acknowledged," commented Ezpeleta, Dorna's managing director. "We will continue this hard work for the Grand Prix in the future."
