Didier Drogba has insisted he is yet to decide what he will do this summer, and says he could still remain at Chelsea.
The Ivorian has been strongly linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge since the departure of Jose Mourinho.
Links with both Milan giants, Barcelona and Real Madrid have all surfaced - but Drogba has now suggested he is as settled as ever in west London.
"After the last match of the Premiership at Stamford Bridge of course I thought it could have been my last match here," he explained to France Football.
"But it is just like that each year after the last home match.
"Anyway I am still here next term yet, as my contract will be over in 2009.
"Last October when I said in France Football I wanted to leave Chelsea, that liberated me.
"There were too many frustrations, I had to get it all out but then I had to take care to be good and I had my best period of the season.
"Now it is up to me to make my choice, and I will take my time.
"For a few weeks, everyone talked about me going everywhere, but no one has named Chelsea.
"My family and I are fine at London. I have just bought a nice house here. I never split on Chelsea. I just confessed a discontent after the departure of Mourinho. I am just thinking so far, and asking myself about the best decision to make."
If Drogba does leave then the Champions League final against Manchester United on Wednesday night would be his Chelsea swansong.
While the 30-year-old would love nothing better than to go out with a bang, he insists he is not nervous about the Moscow clash.
"Finals don't scare me anymore," added Drogba. "Yes, a few years ago I was still apprehensive about these huge matches, but now I'm used to it.
"The fact that I have fought several finals in England has allowed me to conquer these events and control my emotions."
Drogba has won three of his four finals in England - only losing this year to Tottenham in the Carling Cup.
He has tasted cup final heartbreak away from the Blues, losing the UEFA Cup final in 2004 with Marseille and two years later missing a spot-kick as the Ivory Coast lost the African Nation Cup final on penalties.
Drogba also commented on his reputation as a diver, once again denying accusations that he is a cheat.
"Since I had the misfortune to say that I sometimes dived, because people pushed me and not because of cheating, I get the feeling that people take me for a cheat," he said.
"Referees in the Premier League as well as the Champions League come to see me before the matches to tell me 'today, we don't dive, eh'?
"I would love to reply 'I'm a footballer, not a swimmer', but I think they wouldn't listen."
