Administrators in charge of crisis-torn Stockport say they are in talks with a number of parties interested in buying the League One outfit.
County were docked 10 points for entering administration shortly before the end of the season and have since made boss Jim Gannon redundant.
However, joint administrators, and directors at Leonard Curtis, John Titley and Paul Reeves, told the Stockport Express: "We are currently in discussion with a number of interested parties who have expressed an interest in the club."
They added: "We are encouraged by the level of interest shown and the discussions that have taken place so far.
"At this point we are not in a position to disclose any details, but we will issue further updates as developments are made."
Last week winger Leon McSweeney left for Hartlepool on a free transfer and the futures of Josh Thompson, Oli Johnson and Owain fon Williams are uncertain.
