US Open Championship - Reactions from the major players at the Oakmont Country Club after the final round of the US Open.
Angel Cabrera (winner): "I was just hoping they didn't make any birdies coming in. I knew today I had to play in par or better to have a chance. Teeing off at 18 was the most difficult moment for me, the shot of the day because there was a lot of pressure. I had to put the ball in the fairway, make par and then wait. This is going to be something to be remembered in Latin America, not only in Argentina."
Tiger Woods (joint second): "Angel played a beautiful round of golf. He put the pressure on and Jim and I didn't get it done. My last four majors, I've gone 1, 1, 2, 2. That's not terrible, but it could have been a little bit better. I felt like I was still controlling my golf ball pretty good and I hit the ball good on that back nine. I just needed to make one more putt."
Jim Furyk (joint second): "I played well all day. I struck the ball well. I hit a lot of good putts. I just wasn't able to dig it out of the rough and get the ball on the green on two on 17, and in the end that's going to be the difference. No one likes consolation prizes. I'm proud of the way I played, but you know, second place is not that much fun."
Niclas Fasth (fourth): "I feel I played well throughout the week; not brilliant but I don't think anyone did."
Nick Dougherty (joint seventh, leading Brit): "I played a lot better today. I'm disappointed to finish with that score but I'm proud of what I've done on the 18th. It's been a tough week, but I'm delighted."
Paul Casey (joint 10th): "I was very excited and I think you could see from the shots I hit on the first four holes or so that I was nervous. Then I got a very bad break on the sixth hole. I was very much in the golf tournament at that point. To get stuck underneath the lip there. That was not fun and from there the momentum was gone."
Anthony Kim (shot Sunday low 67): "I hit some quality shots and got a couple of putts to fall. It could have been a little bit better but I'm not complaining. The greens were a little bit softer today and I was able to fire at some pins."
