Dundee United are set to sign defender Paul Dixon from neighbours Dundee after the left-back turned down the offer of a new contract. The 21-year-old has reached the end of his Dundee deal and snubbed new terms, but because of his age United must pay compensation to complete the move.
Dundee have accepted an offer from their city rivals, who also signed Dark Blues midfielder Scott Robertson earlier this month.
Dundee have confirmed they will not be signing former Gretna defender Chris Innes.
Innes was close to joining Dundee last week but he has since opted out of the move and has been linked with Morton, bossed by former Gretna manager Davie Irons.
