Middlesbrough striker Mido is determined to show supporters what he is made of when the new Premier League season starts. The Egypt international was beset by injuries during his first campaign at the Riverside Stadium, appearing just 17 times following his move from Tottenham.
But he told the club's official website: "Last season was obviously a big disappointment for me but there were lots of factors that were out of my control.
"I am putting my injuries behind me now and I am determined to do the best I possibly can for the team in the new season. I have lost a lot of weight and I feel as though I am getting close to peak fitness.
"I think Boro fans will be really surprised when they see just what great shape I am in.
"I cannot wait for the new season to begin. I want to establish myself as a key part of the side and I believe I can make a big difference to the team's fortunes."

better than ever??? will not have to be up to much to be better than last season
Apparently he has lost 10 kilos and is aiming to lose 4 more before the start of the season, he has a great touch on the ball, all he was lacking last season i thought was fitness.
How is he going to come back this time?
Basted and Stuffed again?
