Shrewsbury have confirmed they have agreed an undisclosed fee with Nottingham Forest for striker Grant Holt.The 27-year-old marksman, who netted 21 goals in 74 league starts and 23 substitute appearances for the Reds, is now discussing personal terms with Town boss Paul Simpson.

Having joined Forest from Rochdale in a £300,000 deal back in January 2006, Holt spend the end of last season on loan at Championship club Blackpool.

Carlisle, Hartlepool and Dale were all also understood to have been tracking the frontman.
