Reading manager Steve Coppell has confirmed he has no axe to grind with defender Ibrahima Sonko ahead of the new season.Sonko was suspended along with midfielder Emerse Fae in May following a breach of club discipline, but Coppell has wiped the slate clean ahead of the Championship season.

He said: "What happened at the end of last season was the end of last season. This is a new sheet and a new challenge.

"I hope that Ibu is on board with the determination to get back into the Premier League - I know that is his desire.

"We are not trying to move anyone on. As far as I'm concerned the squad remains as it is."
