Town call time on Kuqi transfer hunt

Fri 20 Jun, 12:15 PM

Ipswich have ended their interest in signing Crystal Palace striker Shefki Kuqi on a permanent deal, according to Eagles boss Neil Warnock. The Finn spent the end of last season on loan at Portman Road after being slapped on the transfer list by Eagles manager Neil Warnock.

But his future remains uncertain after Ipswich boss Jim Magilton opted to look elsewhere for attacking reinforcements.

"I'm not sure what is happening with Shefki right now. Ipswich don't want him anymore so we will have to wait and see," Warnock told the Croydon Advertiser.

Meanwhile, Palace fitness coach Carl Serrant has left Selhurst Park and is set to join Warnock's former club Sheffield United.
