Bristol Rovers first-team coach Paul Trollope has denied rumours linking defender Danny Coles with a move to Championship side Plymouth.The 26-year-old has two years to run on his contract with the Pirates, and Trollope reiterated his desire to keep the defender.

"We have not heard anything from Plymouth," Trollope told the Bristol Evening Post. "We are aware that they were watching Danny for spells last season, but we have had no approach from them.

"I don't want to sell him because he has an important part to play at this football club."

Coles, who made 21 appearances last season, joined the club in November on loan from Hull City before signing a permanent deal in January.
