Fiorentina have accepted an offer from Tottenham for Argentina midfielder Mario Santana.

Viola sporting director Pantaleo Corvino has confirmed the 26-year-old is set to travel to London in the coming days to join the Premier League club.

"We've received an offer from Tottenham which we were satisfied with," Corvino told Italian newspaper Corriere dello Sport.

"I think that Santana will join up with Spurs in the next few days after having signed a three- or four-year contract."

According to the newspaper Tottenham will pay Fiorentina five million euros for the player.
