GELSENKIRCHEN, Germany (AFP) - World heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko retained his IBF and WBO titles after forcing challenger Ruslan Chagaev to retire after the ninth round here on Saturday.

zzzZZZZ! jim watt doesn't half talk a load of rubbish don't get me wrong klitschko is a great champion if not a bit wooden but to say he just fought a worthy opponent is rubbish, 5 or so years ago these fighters would not even get a lookin it just goes to show how poor the heavyweights are at the moment,and there may have been 60,000 people there but it was zero atmosphere, lets get the hay v klitschko fight on the heavyweight scene needs it more than ever...

it is a pity! Chagaev lost! but he tried! Unfortunately he is not tall like Klichko! That why it was very difficult for him! Good Luck Klichko. But in my heart always Chagaev!

When you see such a mismatch regardless of the fact that Chagaev is or was a "world" champion you can only wish for days gone by when the fighters fought with heart and determination. Klitschko just happens to be the best of a bad bunch. Bring on Russel Crowe (Gladiator)I
