Taylor sings Mooney's praises

Sun 20 Jul, 03:15 PM

Wycombe boss Peter Taylor claimed the performance of Tommy Mooney was the only positive he could take from the defeat at Forest Green.Following a long journey, goals at the start and end of the game condemned Wanderers to a 2-0 loss.

Taylor told the club's official website: "It was not a good day. The trip took miles too long and we started the game very poorly, which didn't help the rest of the day.

"The performance was very poor and it was a deserved result for Forest Green. We weren't at the races.

"But Tommy Mooney was different class. I had a bit of a go at the rest of the first-team but I said he was first class.

"Since I have been here he has been a laid back character but he has enjoyed himself and he enjoyed being captain for the day."

  1. If you are going to report on Wycombe then get the players names right !!
Tommy Mooney left Wycombe 2 seasons ago !!
The report should have refered to TOMMY DOHERTY.
You must get things right before putting pen to paper.
