Ternent pleased with Terriers progress

Sun 20 Jul, 06:00 PM

Huddersfield manager Stan Ternent revealed he "got a good look at all his players" in their 1-1 draw against Bury at Gigg Lane on Saturday. But the Terriers had to come from behind when Shakers' midfielder Phil Marsh blasted his shot beyond goalkeeper Paul Gerrard.

Newly-appointed skipper Chris Lucketti and defensive partner Nathan Clarke struggled to compete with the pace of Bury's attackers but Ternent's men did eventually clinch the equaliser as Phil Jevons found youngster Danny Codman who coolly slotted the ball home.

The Terriers boss told the club's official website: "It was a good workout and we used everybody.

"The fitness didn't look bad considering it was our first game and Bury's third. There were some good things, some indifferent, but overall it was a good workout.

"Overall there is a lot of work on, but it's done them good."
