US Open - Dent gets US Open chance

Big-serving Californian Taylor Dent has received a wild card into the upcoming US Open.
Dent, 28, was ranked 21st in the world in 2005 but missed two years following three back surgeries.
He returned in 2008 with little success but has had better results this year, including a fourth-round appearance at the Sony Ericsson Open in Miami as a qualifier.
Among those also earning wild card berths were Australian Chris Guccione, Ohio native Chase Buchanan, who won the US Tennis Association's 18s national championship on Sunday, and 18-year-old Mississippian Devin Britton, who reached last year's US Open boys' final as a qualifier.
