Back to the story everyone - this is good news for Renault - let's hope for the sake of a competitive championship that the new 2009 rules mean that more teams have the chance to produce good cars - at least this might stop the constant (and occasionally unpleasant) 'my teams better than your team' Ferrari/McLaren bickering that clouds every story.
Massa, Hamilton, Alonso, Raikkonen, Kovalainen, Kubica - all good drivers. End of!

@ginger..logic question: if you feel that u are not guilty, will you pay the big amount fine and apologize?
For me, if I am not guilty I will not pay anyhting and I will not apologize for the thing that I've never done.

The Maclaren team is not a driver friendly outfit. remember Pablo Montoya, (a very impressive and exciting driver), Kimi (why did he leave maclaren and opt for ferrari, both a great cars you would imagine) Alonso was hounded by the Brits because he was not nice to their lad, and when maclaren cheated, the Maclaren fans, mostly the Brits felt offended because the got busted and instead attempted to blame Alonzo. This year alone Ham caused Kimi a lot of grief; remember Canada when in his attempt to challenge the lead did it the best way he can by taking out the competition......the next stop for Ham is spa!!!!! Alonzo is no loner with Maclaren but it seems still Ham is being Ham. Maclaren fans this is my advice Alonzo's association with the team is history, he is one of the best drivers I have ever seen and Renaults performance under Alonzo this year is proof (despite the fact that he is driving a seconf tier or even third tier vehicle he continues to get points (compare this with his teammate and Renaults performance last year) Heiki better watch out or the Brits will start looking for scape goats for their lads failure to win the F1 title

I thought McLaren served Alonso well. They gave him a great car, like Lewis, Alonso said as a child he used to watch Ron Dennis and Senna and that McLaren was the team he always hoped to drive for. Even before he joined McLaren he was causing problems at Renault accusing them of not supporting him. I actually think the only reason he is at Renault now is because Flavio is his manager. He is a great driver and you don't become a bad driver over night, but he should definitely go to BMW or even Honda and start swashbuckling against decent opposition and he will win the hearts and minds of the fans again. Simple.

Raven: While it is fair to say that some Mclaren fans have forgotten the fine last year, it is also fair to say that alot of Ferrari fans seem to have forgotten the FIA found no evidence of Ferrari intellectual property in Mclaren's cars yet still claim Lewis is driving a psuedo Ferrari. And incidently, "Thou Shalt Not Get Caught" would be the 12th commandment. There was an 11th Commandment in Switzerland in the 19th Century that said "Thou Shalt Not Smoke". Pointless trivia, but true none-the-less.

And as for Alonso, regardless of what data was or wasn't used or who his teammate was, as double world champion he should have claimed a third last year. If he'd behaved like an adult in Hungary he would have beaten Hamilton and taken the crown he gifted to Kimi. It ultimately all boiled down to what he did that one weekend and why he isn't a triple world champion. He may now never win one again.

Really looking forward to next year, though it's always such a long wait. Slicks are back baby and hopefully the new simpler aero packages will bring driver skill and daring back into the picture. I think the loss of traction control has played a somewhat significant roll in this years excitement, albeit particularly in the wet.

Kimi is a real class act. Who knows? Maybe Lewis and Massa will get a DNF, and Kimi may be right back in it. That would be great. I just hope that the title is not decided until the last race of the season. Makes it much more interesting for all of us!

Forza regarding the championship, I'm still not sure about Lewis, I feel bad for Kimi though, he has handled himself impeccably all season, respect to Ferrari for sticking with these two guys and not going for the knee jerk reaction of signing Alonso or Kubica just yet. For Lewis he is 'racing' there is no doubt, but right now I'm just considering Felipe and Lewis as practically even with four to go.

You could be right, but as crazy as this season has been, I'm not writing anyone off just yet, to include Kimi. It's way to close to say it's anyones but Kimi's to lose especially since technically it's still his.

mjhzxc... if you take a look in my documents and my room you'll see mclaren pictures alot lot more than those of the Ferraries in fact I get to loooove the Mika/Shumi age and I get to love the mclarens even though I am a big Ferrari fan but now after the spy scandal I can't forget it no matter how much I try I get to hate them as much as I use to love them.

mjhzxc, in response to your post, I think that the championship is Lewis' to lose. If he does not make any mistakes, he will win. Massa has a shot, but I've been disappointed before. If Kimi was in Massa's situation, I would lean towards Kimi, but it's over for him.

I think that Ferrari will probably win the Constructors' title, but it may be close. As far as developments for next year, it's really hard to tell. Ferrari is not saying much. I think that it will be a very interesting winter.

vinnydawg67...I don't say that Alonso did not cheat but what makes me go crazy is that you blame FA and only him for the stolen data and that most of you mclaren fans mix things up like staeling the work of others and engineers bringing their experience with them to verify stealing others data BTW you don't need to copy others car if you had their data to make use of it you can use them and build upon them and without letting anyone notice even some people do it in their studies and researches in universities and I'm not FA fan I get to like LH last year but now NOT.did you get my point my friend...
