All the reaction from the World Touring Car Championship in Portimao, with Gabriele Tarquini happy to see his title chances shored up by an excellent weekend for SEAT Sport.
Gabriele Tarquini (1st, 2nd)
"It was amazing to score 18 points myself and help SEAT secure more. In the first race I was hit by someone behind in the first corner but fortunately I was able to carry on and didn't have any damage. On the first lap of the second race Rob (Huff) had a bad exit at Rivazza and I tried to overtake him on the inside. He didn't realise I was there and I touched him. I feel better now it is Yvan behind me in the championship but I am sure Augusto (Farfus) will be back in Japan."
Yvan Muller (2nd, 1st)
"After Brands Hatch and Oschersleben it is important to be back; the most important thing however is that we scored maximum points for SEAT in the championship. In the second race I didn't start well, but I used the opportunity of others fighting to overtake them. There was a moment two laps from the end when Gabriele got very close to me but we were always in control. I'd say the key to our domination this weekend was the perfect teamwork we managed in qualifying."
Robert Huff (3rd, 17th)
"(Jordi) Gene came up very quickly behind me coming into the first corner. I got hit behind and had Rickard (Rydell) on the inside of me. Somehow I found a way through, looked in my rear-view mirror and was surprised to see nobody. The SEAT cars were fast but in the second half of the race I had more pace."
Alain Menu (8th, 3rd)
"Yesterday (Saturday) we had to change my engine so I started 20th on the grid for race one. I stayed out of trouble and finished eighth. In the second race I knew I couldn't do anything against the diesel cars because they are so fast on the straight. The aim was to finish on the podium which was good for me and Chevrolet."
Tom Coronel (5th, 14th)
"Qualifying was difficult and I had no slipstream. I had a lot of luck in the race and felt as though it was a dream. In the chaos I had no choice but to go through the gravel and I couldn't believe I was fourth overall. The car isn't the strongest at the moment so to pick up a lot of points is important."
Stefano D'Aste (12th, 10th)
"I got a good start in the second race. Engstler and Boardman closed me in like the ham in a sandwich but I managed to slip out. My car was very quick and I got a good rhythm. Now we are one of the fastest Independent teams in the championship."
