Lyon had to settle for a 1-1 draw with Paris St Germain at the Parc des Princes, leaving Bordeaux alone at the top of Ligue 1.

Lyon, who won seven titles in a row before they lost their crown to Bordeaux last May, would have gone level on points with the champions if they had won in Paris.

PSG had other ideas, taking the lead when winger Ludovic Giuly deflected forward Guillaume Hoarau's low shot into the net on the half-hour.

Lyon levelled five minutes from time when substitute striker Bafetimbi Gomis scored from close range.

Bordeaux, 2-0 winners at promoted Boulogne on Saturday, top the table with 16 points from six games, two ahead of Lyon and Marseille.

Paris dropped to seventh, five points off the pace.

Lille needed a goal by Adil Rami in the fourth minute of added time to salvage a 1-1 draw at Lens in a thrilling northern derby earlier on Sunday.

Defender Rami headed home just before the final whistle for strugglers Lille, who played the last 15 minutes with 10 men after having midfielder Yohan Cabaye sent off for a dangerous tackle.

Lille move up to 15th in the 20-strong league, five places below Lens who took the lead shortly before the hour courtesy of a header by midfielder Razak Boukari.

Toulouse climbed four spots to ninth with a 2-0 home win over lowly Le Mans, featuring a goal in each half from midfielders Etienne Didot and Moussa Sissoko.
