Can anyone explain the overall team standings. Caisse D'Epargne have 3 riders in top 13 yet are third in team standings yet Xacobeo Galicia are first with Mosquera in 6th and next 2 riders 23rd and 24th. I thought they take the first three riders standings. Astana are second. Confused
Is this the return of Cunego?
i bet for vino and valverde to win 12 stage...haha
Thats the full set now Cadel, just like Brad McGee, well done!!! No pressure for the GC though! Enjoy the race, the spanish have more to lose than you do at this Vuelta.
Great, now Vino is leader of the team. They should have UCI accredited doctors on the race where guys like him should have to mandatorily visit for injuries sustained during the race.Anyway, good luck for next year 'Homer'
can anyone else see the vino story all ova agen?!!
That stage was carnage - there seemed to be major crashes every 10 mins, including one Saxo Bank rider pedalling into the back of an HGV???!!!
Actually I guess at the time it was Predictor Lotto.
That's what they call everyone who rides for Silence Lotto.
"Homer"...too funny Eurosport! LOL, is this a real website with real information anymore?!?!?!?
They could also have gotten a picture of the man (never mind his name) in an Astana kit. Although to be fair, he hasn't worn it a ton this season in major races because this is his third ill-fated crash-out when he was on good form in a major race. Poor guy. And it sounds like this crash was pretty much unavoidable.
I was a bit confused with the title of this article, trying to work out if there was some kind of Blazing Saddles type pun calling Chris Horner, Homer, but no, it was a genuine goof! Disgraceful error...I mean the heading is really big as well. Perhaps someone forget to wear their glasses???
Do you think the Eurosport data entry/typist person was given a note to type out with the 'r' and 'n' written very closely together?
Eurosport, If you are going to write an article you could spell Horner's name right.
'Homer'!
Doh!!!
Oh dear. I feared it looked bad when he fell. I know these (and many worse) things happen but it's always sad when any competitor has to abandon a race.
