Scunthorpe manager Nigel Adkins was delighted with his side's fight as they earned a 1-1 draw at Bristol City.
The Robins had looked on course for all three points after Alvaro Saborio's strike, but Grant McCann rescued a point right at the death when his deflected shot found its way into the net.
"It was an excellent point for us against a very good footballing side. We've had an excellent week," said Adkins.
"I had to change our shape quickly from the 4-3-3 we wanted to play to nullify their extra men in midfield. So we went 4-4-2 with two holding midfielders and created a number of chances.
"Jonathan Forte had a goal disallowed for offside, which I thought was very close but won't comment on until I have seen the video and their keeper made several good saves.
"Bristol's goal was a comedy of errors from our perspective, but we stuck at it, worked very hard and even with 10 men at the end got our just reward."
