Hull manager Phil Brown put his side's 1-0 defeat to Birmingham down to a lack of concentration and admitted, with just four points from six games, confidence is low.
Garry O'Connor came off the bench to settle a scrappy Barclays Premier League contest at the KC Stadium by heading home after 75 minutes.
Brown said: "Birmingham put in a shift, a performance worthy of frustrating the home opposition.
"They gained confidence from the fact we were giving the ball away cheaply in the first half.
"For someone to walk into our six-yard box and get a free header needs to be looked at.
"Confidence levels are now low and they need picking up."

I'm a Tigers fan, a season ticket holder, I don't knock Phil Brown but unless something major happens at the club this team simply cannot survive the Premiership this season.
