Leeds boss Simon Grayson is refusing to get carried away after his side climbed to the top of the table following the 4-1 win over Gillingham - their 15th successive league victory at Elland Road.
A brace from Bradley Johnson, followed up by strikes from Jonny Howson and Jermaine Beckford earned Leeds the points, but Grayson insists his side will be judged on their final league position in May.
"Being top of the league gives us a boost going into Tuesday's game (against Liverpool in the Carling Cup) and a platform for the rest of the season. We will be judged on where we finish," he said.
"We faltered a bit at times but did enough to win the game and I am really pleased that the players never once mentioned the Liverpool game around the training ground.
"They had to focus on beating Gillingham because the league is their bread and butter and they showed the right attitude.
"We are playing one of the best teams in the world on Tuesday but we will approach the game with a lot of confidence and belief."
