Dundee United manager Craig Levein was left to rue his side`s display in the 1-0 home defeat to Motherwell.

Ross Forbes scored the winner for Well at Tannadice and Levein has pin-pointed his side`s lack of attacking prowess as the reason for the loss.

"We had too many lads who underperformed," he said.

"I've said this season, we've got a stronger squad. Unfortunately, it didn't look like it. Our attacking play wasn't anywhere near the standards we've set in recent weeks.

"We didn't win the game because of that."
