Cardiff midfielder Stephen McPhail has had his dismissal against Reading upheld by the Football Association of Wales.
The former Leeds and Barnsley man was given his marching orders for a tackle on Reading's Jem Karacan in the midweek clash at the Madejski Stadium.
The FAW have rejected an appeal from the Bluebirds and the 29-year-old will now miss Saturday's game with QPR, the Carling Cup clash with Aston Villa on Wednesday and the meeting with Sheffield Wednesday the following weekend.

Typical of the FAW they have absolutely no interest in promoting Welsh football in the English Leagues, what would have happened if the other player who raised his boot as well had been sent off, if he had then appealed to the English Fa he would have had a better hearing Than Mcphail did! iTS NO WONDER CARDIFF want to be affiliated to to English Fa and not the old fashioned seaweed suckers of Wales!!!
