Sousa confident of goals

Swansea boss Paulo Sousa refused to criticise his side for a lack of cutting edge after they failed to hit the net for the third consecutive game in the 0-0 draw at Barnsley.

The Tykes struggled to live with the Welsh side's passing and movement, with Andrea Orlandi and Leon Britton particularly impressive in midfield.

But they were once again not rewarded for their dominance with goals as Nathan Dyer, Cedric van der Gun and Gorka Pintado all missed chances to secure what would have been only their second league win of the season.

Sousa said: "I'm very happy with the performance. I was pleased with the attitude, we kept the ball very well and I saw anger and a will to win from my players.

"We played good football with good personality. It's not easy coming here with a new manager and the crowd, we needed lots of spirit and personality.

"Once we score, we will score a lot of goals. At the moment the ball isn't going in the net. We must keep playing the same way. We work a lot, especially in the last third and I have confidence, it's only a question of when."
