Thordarson ponders missed chances

Crewe boss Gudjon Thordarson rued his side's wasteful finishing after they went down 2-1 at home to Aldershot.

Alex led in the first half through Shaun Miller, but a deflected Scott Donnelly free kick drew the Shots level before Kirk Hudson sealed the points for the visitors.

Thordarson said: "The amount of chances we created was unbelievable but we need to stay calm because on another day you could have seen us score six goals.

"I can't blame my players for their effort it was just that final push that was missing.

"You have to give Aldershot credit too. They threw themselves in front of everything and their keeper did very well.

"We have to keep a cool head on in front of goal. One day it will come together and we will get a bagful of goals."
