Premier League - Hernandez injury not serious

Tue, 20 Sep 09:14:00 2011

Javier Hernandez will be back in training on Wednesday, according to the Manchester United striker's agent.

Man Utd 3 Chelsea 1

The Mexican was injured following a late challenge by Ashley Cole in Sunday's 3-1 win against Chelsea.

United boss Sir Alex Ferguson's immediate reaction was to rule Hernandez out for two weeks but there were fears the striker could be sidelined for much longer.

However, after sending the £7 million buy for scans on Monday, his agent said Hernandez has suffered nothing worse than a "bump" and the player will be back in training after the Carling Cup trip to Leeds.

"Nothing, it's just a bump, nothing more," said Eduardo Hernandez. "It looked like (his absence) was longer, they were looking for a fracture, that's why they ran those tests on him.

"I expect him to be training without incident on Wednesday."

    SUPERMAN
This 'frigging' game , excuse the pun used in a famous film Escape To Victory, is still being talked about , WHY .......because it has a bearing on the word FAIR...........REFEREES FAVOURITISM.................FOOTBALL ACTING..................MAN.UTD.................FERGIE& #39;S TIME CHECKING................HERNANDEZ MODELLING etc
and that game will not go away , United supporters should be utterly EMBARRASSED BY THE GAMES OUTCOME
YOU'SE DO NOT DESERVE IT...............AND YOU ALL KNOW THAT................YOUR LUCK IS 'BOUT TO CHANGE
Nigele69 was overtly critical of the favouritism shown by the officials at the game yet it was televised world-wide
and everybody who knows football will turn around and say , ' Hey , something is happening in the Premiership
that is not right............did you see that OFFSIDE NOT ONCE BUT TWICE ....and they got away with it .......WHY
because its Man. U Fergie's team.................the free-kick against A.Cole on Hernandez , the staged dive and
painful expression, we all know that is for the ref. to interpret as a RED CARD , again staged '.
Michael another disgruntled fan of PROPER AND FAIR football , sees it as a total lack of respect by United and their manager and players towards visiting teams .............WHY because they want to win at all cost by whatever means..............he is right , well what are we going to do about it ...............SHOW THEM UP TO THE WORLD
AS TOTAL AND UTTER CHEATS , so says another pundit on the grapevine ,Richard Ellis , and he mentions
the fact that all of this FAVOURITISM IS SO OBVIOUS THAT IT IS BORING TO WATCH AND LISTEN ........PEOPLE
ARE YOU ALL THICK AND CRAZY TO
    BELIEVE ITS HAPPENING ?

Is Hermandez a cheater or a diver? Why will anybody label this tackle vicious etc when the man just received bruises? The bruises happen after he was taken out the game. Let's talk about tackles that injure players not this fake and cheating claim. Lies were told from sideline for a long time to the facts that he is back training on Wednesday. Technologies should be applied to punish those who fake injuries. In fact if A Cole were a ManU player, there would have been no call or action from the ref. at OLD Trafford. Referees came here just to count goals that are score off sides.

According to derrenhoward and other ManU fans ManU have already topped the league as it stands.Yes they have no respect to QRP or Wolves or any other club on earth. Some even think ManU will be awarded the title next week but let me tell them that things will turn around to clubs that ManU fans have no respect to.Typical arrogant fans in the world.

If ferguson thinks that chelsea players are too rough on united players he is in for a big big shock with stoke. For years united have dived and cheated wins in the prem league is it any wonder they have won so many titles. Everybody in football circles knows why fergusons best mate, big sam got the boot last season after throwing the game to united. Did anybody else see the c4 programe about match fixing a few weeks ago ? Manchester united's name was bought up more than a couple of times and ferguson and gill can argue all they like about not having any links with that shifty aisan guy that owns the man u bars all over the east but the camera footage and recordings say it all and why did united go to court to get a injunction to stop c4 showing alot of the footage about united on the programe ?

  11. comment 76. I was surprised to see the stats on nani, very impressive. He is turning out to be a great buy. As for your finishing I find it hard when 2 of your goals were offside and the other was a lucky rebound. I think it was our poor finishing that kept the scoreline down more than you being clinical.

On the cole tackle, I do not beleive he intended to break hernandez's leg. It was a last ditched attempt to block the shot and both players momentum ended in a collision. I would not have argued if he had received a red card but to make out he meant harm, I beleive is wrong

Makes us both look forward to the return match, shame its not sooner! lol

  15. comment 73, I agree Luiz deserved a red card. Rooney shouldn't have been on the pitch, if the FA had shown some balls. I suppose his forearm smash was ok by you and coles challenge deserved a life ban!

  19. Richard, while you are entitled to your opinion I have to disagree with your view on cole and Nani, (as do all the commentators on the match) Nani may not have made too many "telling crosses" into the box but how many times did you see cole take the ball of Nani? how many timed did Nani skip mast cole as if he wan't there.

Look at athe stats on Nanin at the moment compared to Ronaldo at United. That'll tell you why.

And as far as I'm concerned cole should be serving a minimum 3 match ban for his tackle on Hernandez, If he'd caught him that heavy an inch higher he'd have ended his career.

Chelsea gave a good account of themselves on sunday andif they continue I have no doubt they'll finish second.

The main difference is United took their chances and Chelsea didn't.

Uited didn't play to their potential and if the same happens next time it may well be a different result.

From derrenhoward, on Tue 20 Sep 21:05
  20. Richard Ellis does it hurt that weve beat you now 5 times in a row ha ha ha chvaksi
