NHL - Chelios drops down leagues

Chris Chelios has signed with a minor league club in hope of returning to the NHL.
The 47-year-old defenseman signed with the American Hockey League's Chicago Wolves and will make his debut Friday against the Manitoba Moose.
Chelios, who played with Montreal, Chicago and Detroit, leads all American-born players with 1,644 career NHL games and has scored 185 goals.
He has won the Norris Trophy as the NHL's top defenseman three times.
