Cheltenham manager Martin Allen has been placed on gardening leave by the League Two club pending an internal investigation.
The 44-year-old has temporarily been stood down from his duties while the club's directors investigate an off-the-field incident.
Jon Schofield has been placed in temporary charge of first team affairs.
Allen, a former West Ham player, took over at Cheltenham in September last year, following in the footsteps of his father, Dennis.

The guy is an animal! anybody who gives him a job is waiting for an accident to happen. Its a shame because he showed a lot of early promise in his managerial career but, unless he gets some physchiatric help to deal with his temperament, very soon he'll become unemployable
