Alexander Kerzhakov says Russia were guilty of being "complacent" as they lost to Israel - and can't understand why he wasn't used.
The forward was forced to watch from the bench in Tel Aviv as Russia crashed to a 2-1 defeat that could well spell the end of their Euro 2008 dream.
England now only need a point against Croatia at Wembley on Wednesday to eliminate Guus Hiddink's side, much to the annoyance of Kerzhakov.
"He (Hiddink) is the boss," Kerzhakov said in The Sun. "But I cannot understand why I didn't play a single minute when we needed to score goals.
"I am gutted we went there complacent and thought everything was done and dusted. Israel played their game and stunned us.
"I am shattered. Nobody thought we could lose. We were all convinced of victory."
Meanwhile, Russian billionaire Leonid Fedun - who owns Spartak Moscow - has offered to donate four luxury cars to the Croatia goalkeeper and best three outfield players if they can beat England.
An England defeat would mean Russia qualify if they win their final game against Andorra on Wednesday and Fedun is hoping to motivate Croatia.
"I'm doing this strictly as a fan," Fedun told The Sun. "If we have even have a small chance we must use it."
