Justin Morgan believes Paul Cooke will be a better player when he returns to the Hull KR side next season.
The star stand-off will miss the first six weeks of the new campaign after being found guilty of misconduct by the Rugby Football League following his controversial switch from fierce rivals Hull..
However his coach insists the player will be stronger for the experience.
"Paul will return to the team a better player after his suspension" Morgan told the Hull Daily Mail.
"I think he will be more resilient as he will have had extra time to prepare himself mentally and physically.
"He will be like a caged animal and I have no doubt he will lift us on his return and help get us to the next level.
"Paul is in good spirits since the decision and I know he will get through this difficult time."
Ironically Cooke's first game back could be against Hull over the Easter weekend.
