Our series of fan reviews continues with the thoughts of our man on the terraces at Watford.

FOOTBALL 2008-2009 Championship Watford - 0

What do you think of the manager? Is there anyone (realistic) out there who would do a better job?

Malky Mackay is the caretaker and I would be happy enough to see him get the job. I dread to think who we might go for otherwise. Given the lack of cash I doubt we're that attractive to anyone of real quality, and would prefer us not to go for a journeyman. If we could afford the compensation, getting Kenny Jackett from Millwall might be a good bet.

Who is the best player you've seen playing for another team this season - and who do you fear losing in January?

Michael Kightly of Wolves looked like he could play a bit but there are not too many others that stand out. I think John-Joe O'Toole and Tommy Smith are on the 'at risk' list and are probably the only two worth relatively big money. Would be a shame to see either go and to sell JJ would probably be bad for us and him in the long-term.

What was your first match or oldest memory of the club?

My oldest memory of the club is the 1984 FA Cup final but I think my first game was a few years later - 3-1 v Hull City.

Are you happy with the present hierarchy at the club? What do you prefer: a foreign owner or someone from closer to home?

The chairman, Graham Simpson, has been getting quite a bit of abuse from some quarters. Many blame him for wasting the Premiership millions, and can't understand what's happened to it all, whereas others see him as someone who genuinely has done his best for the club but was unlucky in that big money was wasted on the likes of Nathan Ellington. There are definitely many worse chairmen out there. It's all pretty academic though as the club is up for sale with GS lacking the big money needed to take it anywhere fast. Someone with an eye on the long-term and some sort of genuine affiliation would definitely be preferred.

What is the relationship like between the club and the fans? Are ticket prices fair?

Not great, though it's generally a consequence of mis-trust on what has happened to a few loyal club servants and the money that appears to have gone AWOL. Ticket prices are not too bad though, especially compared with QPR...
