Grimsby manager Alan Buckley was delighted to hear that Doncaster have agreed to extend defender Sam Hird's loan spell for a third month.The 20-year-old was first loaned out to the Mariners on November 20 and stayed on for another month from December 19.

The Doncaster-born full-back, released by Leeds in the summer, has been a regular for Alan Buckley's League Two side, making 12 appearances.
