Jackson hopeful over Frecklington

Mon 21 Jan, 07:45 PM

Lincoln manager Peter Jackson is hoping midfielder Lee Frecklington can shake off an ankle ligament injury sooner than expected.Frecklington strained ankle ligaments in the recent 3-1 defeat to Rotherham and was expected to be out for at least two weeks, but could come into contention for Saturday's visit of Dagenham & Redbridge.

Jackson said: "Although Wrexham picked up a great result at the weekend we haven't moved in the table and it's allowed the injured players to catch up.

"Frecklington is responding well to his treatment, so there is a very small chance that he might be available for selection on Saturday, but we don't want to rush him into anything.

"We'll keep assessing his progress over the week."
