Swindon boss Maurice Malpas has completed the signing of defender Patrick Kanyuka on a free transfer after he was released by QPR last week.The 20-year-old, who made 12 league appearances for Rangers, has signed until the end of the season but is ineligible for Tuesday's FA Cup replay against Barnet.

The Congolese-born centre-back told the club's official website: "I didn't want to stay at QPR and just sit in the reserves so coming to Swindon was a great opportunity for me.

"The aim is to push up League One. Moses (Ashikodi), Anthony (McNamee) and myself have all arrived at around the same time and hopefully we can make a difference."
