Scunthorpe manager Alan Knill was left feeling more frustration after seeing his side held to a draw for the 13th time this season.
Stevenage substitute Darius Charles snatched an 84th-minute equaliser to secure a 1-1 draw after Scunthorpe looked to be heading for their first home win since late October through Garry Thompson's strike early in the second half.
Knill said: "I think we are better than we were a month ago. It's just the fine lines that are killing us at the moment.
"We've got to start turning those draws into wins and if we can do that, then I'm sure it will be all right. This was a game where we should have been talking about a win.
"I think three points were there for the taking, but once again we have conceded a poor goal after people didn't do their jobs.
"I have to say, though, that I have been delighted with the attitude and commitment of the players."

13 draws = 26 dropped points, had we won these games we would be 4th in the table, at this level dropping that many points especially at home makes for relegation form. Time is running out to turn this round and league 2 beckons.
League 2 here we come.
