Grayson: Home form key to survival

Thu 21 Feb, 04:00 PM

Blackpool manager Simon Grayson believes his side's home form could hold the key to their Championship survival hopes this season. The Seasiders have lost only three times on home soil since winning promotion from League One last May and lie seven points above the drop zone.

With high-flying Charlton the visitors to Bloomfield Road this weekend, Grayson is confident his men's home form can keep them clear of danger.

"The home form has been good and obviously we want to maintain that until the end of the season," said Grayson.

"That could prove crucial to our survival hopes because picking up away points is difficult, as we found out at Ipswich last weekend.

"We're always looking to get as many points as possible at home and that's what we'll be trying to do this weekend against Charlton."
