Sheffield Wednesday manager Brian Laws expects to be boosted by the return of several key players in time for the run-in.The Owls have been rocked by a succession of injuries to first-team players throughout the season with striker Akpo Sodje (ankle) the latest to be ruled out long-term.

Laws said: "Our injury problems have been well-chronicled, but we hope to have Steve Watson back in a few weeks and Francis Jeffers is about a fortnight away.

"We've got lots of important games coming up and it's imperative that we get as many players back fit as we can.

"Graham Kavanagh is back in training, he's trained well this week and the game off in midweek has helped him."

Watson (hamstring), Jeffers and Frank Simek (both ankle) and Etienne Esajas (foot) are all in a fitness race as Laws's side look to stave off relegation.
