Mowbray hopeful over Moore capture

Thu 21 Feb, 04:45 PM

West Brom boss Tony Mowbray hopes to complete the loan signing of Luke Moore from Aston Villa in time for the home clash with Hull. The Aston Villa striker passed a medical earlier this week and the Baggies aim to finalise the 22-year-old's initial loan move on Friday morning, with a view to making an announcement later that day.

Mowbray said: "I am hopeful of getting things tied up in the next 24 hours and I would hope to have Luke available for the weekend.

"We have until Saturday midday to have him registered in time for the Hull game, but until things are done you never like to say too much. However, at this moment we are hopeful."

Moore will move to The Hawthorns on loan until the end of the season ahead of a likely £3.5million permanent transfer in the summer.

Villa have confirmed that should the loan go through, they will have the option to recall him after 28 days if necessary.
